I recently gave a khutbah at the Prince George's Muslim Association (PGMA) regarding the internet and its impact on the lives of Muslim youth. Alhamdulillah, it was well received. May Allah reward the brothers and sisters that were involved in the research and presentation of this khutbah. I hope you benefit and please excuse any flaws:
how did you embed that?
ReplyDeleteAlhumdulillah I came across this site!! I'm from MD and my daughter goes to An Nur Academy at PGMA. Alhumdulillah!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it. One thing I forgot to mention in the Khutbah (it was actually in my Khutbah notes, but somehow I missed it) is Internet Safety Software which can be used to limit a computer's access to the more dangerous corners of the world wide web. Brother Farhad has thoroughly tested and recommends a software product called "Safe Eyes": http://www.internetsafety.com/safe-eyes-parental-control-software.php
ReplyDeleteAssalamu alaikum Yahya,
ReplyDeleteJazaakAllahu khairan for your khutbah, but this is not sufficient, there need to be one to one counseling with the fathers who hear khutbah's like this, may appreciate in public but would not practice in private. Can you come up with a plan to tackle it on that level?
